Honor will hold a global online product launch conference in Europe on February 24, the company announced on Weibo on Tuesday.
The Honor V30 will be officially unveiled with a new ecology, and the Honor all-scenario intelligence product series will debut, the company said.
The event will be held at 18:30 Central European Time on February 24, which is 1:30 am on February 25 Beijing Time.
According to a report on Monday, Huawei's Honor brand will release the Honor V30 series smartphone equipped with HMS (Huawei Mobile Service) to the European market next week.
This will also be Huawei's first smartphone pre-installed with HMS, ifeng.com reported citing people familiar with the matter.
Honor V30 was listed on the domestic market at the end of last year as Honor's first 5G smartphone.
The Honor V30 series launched for overseas markets will use HMS (Huawei Mobile Services) instead of GMS (Google Mobile Services). This is also the first pre-installed HMS officially launched by Huawei since it was added to the "Entity List" by the United States in May last year.
After Google responded to the US government's "Entity List" call and banned the provision of GMS services to Huawei mobile phones, Huawei accelerated the ecological construction of its own HMS.
HMS Huawei Mobile Services is a collection of Huawei cloud service open capabilities. It is a cross-platform, cross-device service. The official launch of HMS means that Huawei has complete ecological capabilities.
Honor originally planned to release this news and other products at the MWC conference. After the conference is cancelled, Honor will still hold a separate media event for this important release.
Honor held a press conference in Beijing on November 26 and released the Honor V30 series smartphone.
The Honor V30 uses a 6.57-inch dual-camera screen. It has passed the Low Blue Light Certification of Rheinland. Honor V30 phone uses Kirin 990 processor and Barron 5000. Honor V30 PRO uses Kirin 990 5G processor.
