Tesla tops global EVs sales with 368,000 units last year

Analysts predict Tesla Model 3 sales in China to hit 150,000 in 2020-cnTechPost

In 2019, global electric vehicle sales increased by 10% year-on-year to 2.2 million with Tesla topped the list, according to the Korean auto industry and the U.S. electric vehicle website "INSIDE EVS".

Tesla tops the list of electric car sales in 2019, with a total of 367,820 units sold.

China's BYD, BAIC Motor and Shanghai Automotive ranked second to fourth, and BMW ranked fifth.

Hyundai ranked 9th with 72,959 vehicles and Kia ranked 11th with 53,477 vehicles.

The combined sales volume of Hyundai and Kia Motors was 126,436, which ranked No. 6 ahead of Volkswagen.

Judging from the best-selling models, the Tesla Model 3, which was launched last year, sold 300,750 million vehicles, ranking first. Hyundai's small SUV KONA EV ranked 9th with sales of 44,386 units.
