Tencent launches tool for pneumonia symptoms self-examination

Chinese technology giant Tencent announced on Saturday the launch of a new coronary pneumonia self-examination tool to help users who experience symptoms such as fever and cough to self-evaluate their illness and make medical arrangements.

This tool uses Tencent's AI capabilities. Users only need to answer the corresponding questions, such as whether they have fever, cough and other discomforts, or have recently visited Wuhan and other information to get a risk assessment.

Users can find this tool by opening the WeChat "Payment" page and entering the "Medical Health" service. Please note they are currently in Chinese.

For the low risk of new coronary pneumonia, the tool will give guidelines for home observation and autonomous reporting.

When encountering high risks, it is recommended that users go to the fever clinic for treatment, combined with "new coronavirus-infected pneumonia medical treatment designated hospitals and fever clinic navigation map" to recommend and navigate to the nearest clinic.

On January 27, Tencent released a map of new coronavirus-infected pneumonia medical treatment hospitals and fever clinics.

The above two query capabilities are also open to hospitals at the same time. Hospitals interested in providing convenient query services can contact [email protected] or [email protected] to apply for access.
