In order to control the pneumonia outbreak, from the first train on January 31, passengers are required to take their temperature before entering at all subway stations, Beijing Metro said on Weibo on Thursday.

Staff will use non-coordinated thermal imaging temperature test system, handheld temperature monitor and other methods to test the temperature of incoming passengers, to improve the efficiency of incoming temperature measurement.

Since the first train on January 24, the Beijing Metro Corporation has tested the temperature of incoming passengers at some stations, including Beijing West Railway Station, Beijing Railway Station, and Capital Airport Terminal.

From January 26, Beijing Metro Corporation urgently purchased 109 sets of uncoordinated thermal imaging temperature testing systems and more than 2,100 handheld temperature monitors.

With the gradual arrival of equipment and the completion of special training for personnel, starting from the first train on January 31, Beijing Metro Company will start the temperature measurement of the entire subway line of Beijing Metro. Passengers with abnormal temperature will be isolated and dial 120 or 999 Seek medical attention.
