LG's mobile phone design patent shows that it may produce a mobile phone with a three-sided screen and a foldable design in the future, according to Letsgodigital.

In recent years, a number of mobile phone manufacturers have launched foldable phones. LG is relatively conservative. Previously, LG designed a smartphone case with a display to make the phone a dual-screen phone.

In October 2018, LG's CEO announced that it is developing LG's foldable smartphone.

On July 22, 2019, LG Electronics applied for a design patent for a smartphone with a flexible display (surrounding screen) in China.

The patent was officially published on January 17, 2020, and the document has since been included in the WIPO Design Database.

From the patent sketch and renders made by Letsgodigital, you can see that LG's surround screen phone has a three-sided screen and uses a foldable design. The unfolded device looks like a tablet.
