IDC: 15% of classrooms in China will be transformed by 5G by 2023-CnTechPost

IDC believes that emerging information technology will be fully applied in education and teaching. By 2023, 15% of classrooms in China will be transformed by 5G technology.

This will provide more immersive courses and real-time feedback equipment to enable students to quickly acquire teaching content and create content based on content, as well as support more extracurricular teaching. IDC is among the top ten 2020 education industry forecasts recently released.

IDC predicts that by 2021, 25% of Chinese universities will invest in 5G education innovation centers. These centers will test the availability of emerging 5G-based technologies, establish live demonstration studios, and create new technology training programs.

IDC said that the digital transformation of the education industry is still in the exploratory stage, and various emerging technologies have been applied to the digital transformation of education. In the next three years, education informatization will reach another level, and various emerging information technologies will be applied to the digital transformation of education.

The following are the top ten predictions for the IDC education industry:

Prediction 1: Intelligent classroom

By 2023, in China, 15% of classrooms will be transformed by 5G technology-providing more immersive courses and real-time feedback equipment, enabling students to quickly acquire teaching content and create content based on content, and support more extracurricular teaching .

Prediction 2: 5G Education Innovation Center

By 2021, 25% of Chinese universities will invest in 5G education innovation centers, test the usability of 5G-based emerging technologies, and set up live demonstration studios and create new technology training programs.

Prediction 3: Digital payment

By 2020, 70% of colleges and universities in China will be able to make end-to-end cashless payments on a variety of goods and services, including tuition, online learning, goods and donations.

Prediction 4: Comprehensive teaching channels

By 2024, 20% of K-12 public education institutions in China will recognize the value of extracurricular learning channels and start incorporating them into a full range of teaching channels driven by public schools.

Prediction 5: Blockchain Qualification Certification

By 2024, 20% of colleges and universities in China will provide verification systems such as graduation certificates, academic certificates, and skill certificates based on blockchain technology.

Prediction 6: Enhancement of teachers' digital skills

In order to cope with the increasingly important digital teaching, by 2024, 30% of teachers in China will receive digital skills training on a regular basis to make full use of digital teaching methods.

Prediction 7: Artificial intelligence-assisted teaching

By 2024, 20% of teaching tasks in Chinese schools will be completed or assisted by artificial intelligence systems. These artificial intelligence systems are personalized and focused on solving complex teaching tasks in reality.

Prediction 8: Automated Course Scheduling System

By early 2023, 30% of colleges and universities in China will deploy automated school scheduling systems to reduce errors or confusion in class scheduling and improve the efficiency of class management.

Prediction 9: 3D printing assisted teaching

By 2021, 20% of schools in China will use 3D printing technology for teaching and enhance the learning experience with more intuitive visual samples, which will promote the "Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM)" curriculum Skills development.

Prediction 10: Safe Campus

By 2020, 50% of schools in China will invest in the construction of secure campuses, such as visitor management systems and closed-circuit television monitoring systems (CCTV) and strengthen next-generation network security to improve campus security.
