China Mobile IoT, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Mobile, announced on January 9 that the company purchased 2 million Hisilicon Balong 711 sets from Shanghai Hisili Technology, a subsidiary of Huawei.
The Balong 711 chipset includes three chips: the baseband chip Hi2152, the radio frequency chip Hi6361, and the power management chip Hi6559. The platform has been widely used in various industries.
Shanghai Hisilicon Balong711 chip is one of the earliest 4G Modem chips developed and has completed certification of more than 100 mainstream operators worldwide.
In October 2019, Shanghai Hisilicon Technology Co., Ltd. announced the launch of Balong 711, the first Huawei Hisilicon LTE Cat4 platform to the Internet of Things industry.
This chip has carried mass shipment applications since its release in 2014 and supports LTE-FDD/LTE-TDD/WCDMA/GSM multi-mode, which can be flexibly applied to traditional and new types such as industrial routing, vehicle networking, new retail, and sharing economy field.
