Android Auto has been downloaded more than 100 million times in the Google Play store and has got more than 800,000 reviews.
Android Auto was released to the public 5 years ago. With the introduction of assistant support and the introduction of a more streamlined and responsive UI, it has become better over the years.
Android Auto has been around for a while, but so far its wireless connectivity is only available for Nexus and Pixel phones.
Now, according to new support documentation on the Google Android Auto page, wireless features have been brought into the Samsung Galaxy S8, S9, and S10 series along with Note8 and Note9.
Users using these phones and cars supporting Android Auto will now be able to enjoy the full wireless experience. The initial setup still requires a USB connection. The only requirement is that the phone is running Android 9 Pie with Android Auto app version 4.7.
Thousands of vehicles and thousands of infotainment systems support Android Auto, but even if your car is older, you can use Auto UI-a simplified launcher that safely uses your phone while driving.
