How does it feel to run IE 2.0, released 24 years ago, on Windows 10

Internet Explorer 2 was released 24 years ago, and although this browser has been disabled, it does not mean that it has expired.

Today, Microsoft has been encouraging users to use Microsoft Edge, but Windows 10 still offers users Internet Explorer for compatibility reasons.

However, Microsoft does not recommend using it as a daily browser. Instead, users are advised to use Microsoft Edge. The Chromium version will be officially launched soon.

A Reddit user proved that Internet Explorer 2.0 for more than 24 years can still run on Windows 10 devices without any additional adjustments.

This user installed the Polish version of IE 2.0 on a Windows 10 test system and can confirm that this method works without any additional modifications. Obviously, users cannot load the website.

Although Microsoft has previously "flaunted" its backward compatibility many times, it is surprising that Windows 10 devices can run Internet Explorer 2.0, especially considering that many years have passed since the release of IE 2.0.

Microsoft will phase out Windows 7 next week and encourage users to switch to Windows 10. Microsoft says that 99% of the applications built for Windows 7 will run perfectly on Windows 10, and netizens' experiments justify this.

Microsoft Windows 7 was officially released in 2009 and has a history of more than ten years.
