WeChat monthly active users up 6% to 1.151 billion in 2019

The number of monthly active accounts on WeChat reached 1.151 billion in 2019, an increase of 6% from 2018, a data report released by WeChat on Friday showed.

The active peak period of WeChat is before lunch and after work, the report said. Except for the search data, the remaining data in the report was as of September 2019.

Young women prefer e-commerce mini-programs, and middle-aged women prefer entertainment mini-programs. Mini-programs turn on the active peak at around 20:00 in the evening.

In the WeChat emoticon ranking, cover your face, fangs, snicker, strong, and rose among the top five.

The average number of steps per day on WeChat sports is 6,932 steps.

In addition, men receive 42% of red envelopes each month and women receive 58% of red envelopes.
