Samsung recently confirmed that it will hold the Unpacked event on February 12 in San Francisco where it is expected to release the Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Fold 2. According to XDA developers, the Galaxy Fold 2 may not be equipped with the Snapdragon 865 processor.
XDA quoted sources as saying that the Galaxy Fold 2 may not be able to catch up with the latest Snapdragon 865 processor because it has spent more time developing (more than 6 months). Instead,ย will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 SoC similar to the original Galaxy Fold.
The source also confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will use a 10MP front camera, which is the same as the Galaxy Note 10.
According to the information currently available, it is expected that Samsung's second-generation Galaxy Fold will look similar to Motorola RAZR 2019: it also uses a clamshell design.
It is worth noting that Samsung Electronics has previously registered the trademark name of ultra-thin glass (UTG), whose thickness is less than 100 micrometers (ยตm), which is expected to be applied to Samsung Galaxy Fold 2.
