OnePlus recently unveiled its first concept phone, the Concept One, at CES 2020. Its biggest feature is that the rear camera module can be hidden. Now a blogger released the Concept One's hands-on video for the first time to show us what it looks like.
From the video posted by Twitter user Safwan AhmedMia (@SuperSaf), you can see that Concept One's camera appears and disappears from time to time.
Now you see me, now you don't...
The #OnePlusConceptOne looks pretty dope with a 'disappearing' camera and leather finish. It uses electrochromic glass which hides the cameras and also acts as a built-in ND filter ? #CES2020 @oneplus @OnePlus_UK pic.twitter.com/gP7WGltnL7

This hidden effect is because the Concept One uses a very thin electrochromic glass, which reduces the thickness while ensuring the discoloration effect.
OnePlus made two special designs. First, it repeatedly adjusted the EC material. Under the premise that the thickness of the EC material was only 0.05 mm, it achieved industry-leading transmittance contrast.
Secondly, OnePlus added non-polar glass balls with a diameter of less than 0.05 mm to ensure that the glass does not deform, which greatly reduces the thickness of the glass.
The glass ball added inside the electrochromic glass bypasses the camera area, and adopts advanced ITO coating technology to achieve a transparent conductive film with lower square resistance and higher transmittance.
After a long period of debugging, the electrochromic glass of OnePlus Concept One can achieve a process from black to full transparency in just 0.7 seconds. It is even faster than waking the camera.
