Gaode Map, one of China's most popular map app, will be available for users traveling outside China through cooperation with HERE Technologies.

The companies announced on Wednesday that HERE maps will provide Gaode with map data and traffic information outside of China. Gaode can thus provide users with global route planning guidance, positioning, and travel-related services.

"Through this cooperation with Gaode on maps and real-time traffic information, HERE will work with Gaode to provide Gaode users with high-quality overseas map services," said Stanimira Koleva, vice president of maps and general manager of the Asia-Pacific region.

At present, the two parties have launched related testing based on overseas map data and service optimization. Gouda Map's overseas travel service will be officially launched in 2020, and the first batch will cover major countries in East and Southeast Asia.

Gaode Map not only provides users with travel guidance for driving in multiple modes such as self-driving, walking, public transportation but also searches for related points of interest based on location, thereby achieving integrated overseas travel without changing usage habits Experience.
