Sony Xperia China version will not remove Google services after upgrading to Android 10-CnTechPost

There were rumors recently that the Sony Xperia smartphones Chinese version will remove Google services after upgrading to Android 10. However, according to a blogger who contacted Sony, this is not true.

Weibo user @ZACKBUKS said on Weibo on Saturday that Sonyโ€™s R&D confirmed that the Chinese version Xperia phones will not delete existing Google services after and he will contact customer services on Monday to confirm this.

Sony announced the Android 10 update plan for Xperia phones in November last year. Sony Xperia 1 and Sony Xperia 5 phones began receiving updates in December 2019.

Sony Xperia 10, Sony Xperia 10 Plus, Sony XZ2, Sony XZ2 Compact, Sony XZ2 Premium and Sony XZ3 will start getting Android 10 updates in early 2020.
