More smartphone makers will release foldable phones in 2020 and global foldable phone shipments are expected to reach tens of millions in the next two years, Pan Jian, chief analyst of the electronics industry of Tianfeng Securities, said in a note.
Pan believes that with the gradual development of process technology, the development of cover materials for folding mobile phones from CPI to UTG is an important new direction. Glass thinning is one of the two core links in the UTG industry chain.
Since this year, several folding screen products such as Samsung Galaxy Fold, Huawei Mate X, and Motorola RAZR have come out one after another.
In addition, Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 and Huawei Mate Xs are also expected to be released in 2020.
