Wuxi has become China's first city with full coverage of 5G along its subway network including Metro Lines 1 and 2, according to Wuxi Metro.
This morning, Wuxi Metro and Wuxi Mobile held the first nationwide metro 5G network coverage release ceremony at the Civic Center Station of Line 1, announcing that Wuxi became the first city in China to achieve full metro 5G network coverage.
At the launch ceremony, Wuxi Metro Group and Wuxi Mobile signed a 5G strategic cooperation agreement to jointly promote the construction of 5G smart subways.
Passengers can watch videos and play games smoothly in Wuxi subway train and station space. Based on field measurements, the average download speed of 5G in Wuxi subway trains and station space now reaches 8-10 times the speed of 4G.
