Due to well-known reasons, Huawei has strengthened the domestic market this year. It is reported that the Mate 30 series mobile phones released 3 months ago have shipped more than 12 million units.

Compared with Huawei's previous domestic target of 50% share in China, an industry insider said that Huawei's domestic share may reach 75% in 2020.

The former editor-in-chief of Aifou.cn, a mobile phone review site, "Mrๅމๅฎณ" said on Weibo on Monday that Huawei's target of smartphone share in China for next year has risen from 50% of this year to 75% next year.

He believes that Huawei's advantage in the 5G market is mainly cost, which causes some low-end markets to be taken away by Huawei, while other manufacturers using Qualcomm's 5G chips are facing higher costs of chipsets, which is 2-3 times the cost of 4G chips.

What is the concept of 75% of the domestic 5G market? According to data from the China Academy of Information Technology at the beginning of this year, domestic mobile phone shipments in 2018 were 414 million, of which domestic brands shipped 3.71 units, accounting for 89.5%.

Huawei's 75% share means that the in the domestic market alone it will reach sales of 300 million units.

However, it is also very difficult to achieve 75% of the domestic share. Previously, no brand in China had a precedent of more than 50%. If Huawei can achieve 50% of the domestic share this year, it is already a history.
