At present, it is no longer possible to publish custom emoticons in the comments of WeChat friends circle. Only the default emoticons of WeChat can be used. In addition, the custom emoticons that users have previously released can still display and browse normally.
According to the Beijing Youth Daily, WeChat confirmed the news. WeChat said “Previously, we conducted a grayscale test on the function of sending emoticons in the comments of friends circle, and some users can use it after updating the 7.0.9 version. This feature is currently suspended.”
