The average monthly expenditure of Chinese mobile users in the third quarter fell 9.5% year-on-year to 47.3 yuan ($6.7), less than half the global average of $13.75, according to a latest report.

The average monthly expenditure of mobile communication users ranked 86th from low to high among all 240 countries and regions, lower than the global level of $13.75 The average level is far lower than developed countries such as Japan ($53.74) and the United States ($54.52).
In terms of fixed broadband business, the average monthly expenditure of fixed broadband users in China has steadily declined. In the third quarter of 2019, the average monthly expenditure of fixed broadband subscribers in China was 35.8 yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 12%.
