China Unicom starts supporting eSIM in Beijing-CnTechPost

China Unicom started the eSIM test in Beijing. Apple Watch users who has dual terminal with one number can take part in the test for free for a period of 12 months.

There is no activation fee and monthly service fee during the trial period. After that, each subsidiary terminal will charge a 10 yuan monthly from the following month.

The so-called dual terminal with one number refers to the use of a smart device attached to the eSIM to allow the smartphone and the device to share a number and package resources to achieve independent cellular mobile communications. After turning on this function, even if the phone is not around, you can receive calls and text messages through the smart accessory device.

The No. 1 dual-terminal function breaks the shackles of the mobile phone as the only mobile communication carrier, and provides the possibility for multi-scenario calls and intelligent applications.

Earlier, the Apple Watch cellular network version had different numbers belonging to different operators, and cellular network services were only available in some parts of China.

China Unicom's Apple Watch cellular network service can be used for mobile phone numbers belonging to Shanghai, Guangzhou, Changsha, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Wuhan and Zhengzhou. Now Beijing Unicom has launched this service.
