Richard Yu previously said that Huawei would hold a new product launch event in Paris, France in March 2020, launching the highly anticipated Huawei P40 series flagship phone.
Before the official release, @OnLeaks and 91Mobile shared high-resolution renderings of the P40 and P40 Pro.
According to the renderings, Huawei P40 series fuselage will use a rectangular convex camera module, but the protruding height is not much.
The Huawei P40 can accommodate up to four cameras, but the number of cameras for the P40 Pro is not yet confirmed. There are rumors that five cameras will be equipped. In addition, Huawei P40 series will use glass on the back of the fuselage.
The Huawei P40 uses a flat screen design with dimensions ranging from 6.1 inches to 6.2 inches. The P40 Pro will use a curved screen similar to Samsung, and the main point is that all four sides will be curved to provide a higher screen ratio and immersion.
According to previous rumors, Huawei P40 Pro may be equipped with a huge 5,500mAh battery and have 50W fast charging support.
The phone will shake the internal Kirin 990 SoC, which integrates a 5G modem for fifth-generation cellular connectivity.
From a software perspective, Yu has confirmed that the phone will immediately launch EMUI 10 based on Android 10 (open source, most likely). However, these phones will not be able to use any Google applications such as Gmail, Google Maps, etc.
Huawei P40 Pro is also expected to be equipped with a 6.5-inch waterfall OLED Quad HD + display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a screen ratio of about 98%. In terms of cameras, Huawei P40 Pro is expected to be equipped with a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 main sensor, OIS, 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, 12-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, macro lens and Time of Flight sensor.
