From 2016 to 2018, ZTE lost nearly 10 billion yuan due to US sanctions. Now the company has recovered its vitality. Although not as strong as Huawei, ZTE is still China's second largest communications equipment company.

A ZTE executive have just sorted out ZTE's strengths, pointing out that ZTE is the only company in China that mass-produces 7nm and introduces 5nm. The self-developed operating system has shipped 200 million sets.

Lv Qianhao, the head of ZTE's consumer terminal strategy department, said on Weibo, (ZTE) continues to exert its three core autonomous capabilities in chips, operating systems and databases.

He says the company is one of Chinaโ€™s only two companies that mass-produces 7nm and 5nm products. More of his words:

A total of more than 100 types of chips have been developed and successfully mass-produced, covering the "bearing, access, terminal, and application" fields. 7nm process chips have achieved mass production, and 5nm technology has been introduced simultaneously.

5G multimode IF chip won the "China Core" outstanding technology innovation product award in 2019;

Operating system: A total of 200 million units were shipped to run on the Fuxing trains.

Self-developed operating systems include embedded operating systems, server operating systems, and smart terminal operating systems, which have achieved a number of pioneers and leaders in the domestic operating system field.

Embedded operating system won the fourth industry award of China Industry, widely used in high-speed rail, communications, aviation and other industries, with nearly 200 million units shipped worldwide;

Distributed database: GoldenDB, the first commercial, self-developed distributed database in China, has more than 100 related patents. In the "Distributed Database Capability Assessment" organized by the Institute of Information and Communications Technology, it passed the assessment with 50 full-scale scores.

At present, the database product has officially entered the financial field, and has been recognized by many bank customers, and has realized the first domestic commercial use of a distributed database in a large bank core. "
