WeChat apologizes for translating

China's well-known social app WeChat apologized for translating foreign national flags into strange sentences in the chat window.

Earlier users discovered that WeChat translated the "Canadian flag" sent in the chat to "He's in prison".

In addition, the flags of other countries and regions are translated into irrelevant words, which look like random words.

In response to this, Tencent WeChat stated in a statement that it would take immediate action to fix translation errors.

Thanks to users who found this problem, we apologize for the inconvenience caused, and will continue to improve Our products and services.

As of the end of the third quarter of 2019, WeChat's monthly active accounts reached 1.151 billion.
