AOD, Always on Display, means that the control screen is partially illuminated without lighting the entire phone screen, and some important information is always displayed on the phone.
It takes advantage of the low power consumption of OLED screens. This feature is named as an off-screen display on Huawei phones, which not only saves power but also allows you to view time and notifications in real time.
According to survey statistics, each person checks the phone about 150 times a day. Users often need to press the power key or double-tap the screen to light up the screen for viewing.
According to Huawei, the colorful AOD is inspired by the beautiful and changeable sky at different moments, and will show different colors over time. For example, when the morning sun rises, it shows a light blue sky; at noon, it shows a blue sky; in the evening, it shows a glowing orange. Previously, AOD was mainly black and white.
Because it is always displayed, turning on AOD will consume more power than turning it off. Therefore, Huawei's colorful AOD is turned off by default and requires users to turn it on manually. How to open: Turn on the "Settings"-"Desktop and Wallpaper"-"Off Screen Display" switch.
As long as the screen is an OLED screen, models that can be upgraded to EMUI10 can support it.
