Google recently released updates to its first "Pixel Feature Drop" program, including improvements to the video calling experience, new editing of pictures, and the addition of phone filtering, according to Google's official blog.
The "Pixel Feature Drop" program will regularly release software updates for its Pixel phones, which will bring new tools and interesting things to enhance the device itself.
Google Duo has received some substantial improvements. When the network environment is bad, machine learning algorithms predict the next sound that may occur, making the call easier without having to repeat the conversation over and over again.
With the Pixel 4's wide-angle lens, automatic composition allows users to center their faces on Duo video calls, even when walking around. And, if someone else joins your lens, the camera will automatically adjust to fix both of you in the frame.
The app also takes full advantage of the Pixel 4's 90Hz screen to reduce discontinuities in the video source.
Pixel users can now adjust the background blur effect of pictures through the built-in picture program. Pixel 2, 3, and 4 all support real-time background blur.
On Pixel 4 models, calls from unknown numbers can now be automatically blocked and filtered. When the feature detects robocall, it won't ring your phone at all, while other legitimate calls will still ring after Google screening and provide you with background information about who is calling and why.
