Nintendo opens pop up store in Shanghai

Nintendo is opening a pop up store in Xuhui District, Shanghai. It is expected to allow players to try out and buy game consoles like the Switch, according to Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad.

Nintendo has not responded to the information yet, and it is expected that the Switch will also arrive the Chinese market soon.

Not long ago, the packaging of the Nintendo Switch was exposed, and the box showed that it included a one-year warranty. The package has the words "Tencent Introduced", and "Enjoy One Year Warranty" on it.

In August this year, Tencent announced details of its cooperation with Nintendo. The two parties will localize some classic Nintendo games, as well as the simplified Chinese version of the game in the future.

At present, Tencent is working with Nintendo to complete the localization of some classic Nintendo games. Next, more Chinese-made Switch games will be launched.

Tencent will also act as a Chinese publisher for some Nintendo games. At the same time, it will also introduce some third-party games as Switch's platform in China.

Tencent will also optimize the eShop store system, players can use WeChat to pay for games in the store.
