From November 27, people in China can finally switch mobile network while keeping their phone numbers throughout the country.
Prior to this, several areas including Tianjin, Hainan, Jiangxi, Hubei and Yunnanhave officially provided the services on September 19, 2019.
According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China Mobile is losing customers the most, while China Telecom is benefiting from this.
As of November 26, among customers who have changed their operator, China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom accounts for 16.3%, 57.6%, and 26.1% respectively.
Among these people, 49.3% jumped to China Telecom, 28.1% to China Mobile and 22.6% to China Unicom.
China Mobile's lost subscribers account for half of the total, and most of those who change their operator choose China Telecom.
According to CCTV News, as of November 26, 3.16 million users have done this.
At the launching ceremony of the number transfer network, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that the number transfer network officially provided services throughout the country.
The subscriber number remains unchanged, and people can be freely select their preferred mobile operator if they meet the requirements.
