Huawei will release a new device for the Mate series on November 25 in Shanghai, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei's consumer business group said Friday on Weibo.
The Weibo post also show an image of โMateโ with the โMโ blurred in the first half and apparently the โPadโ on the right.
This is in line with previous rumors that claim Huawei could be working on a new high-end tablet to rival iPad Pro or Galaxy Tab S6.
On October 19, 91mobiles reported citing a reliable source as saying Huawei was working a tablet with a punch-hole display. This will be the first time the punch-hole design is used on a tablet; the hole-punch will house the selfie camera as it does on smartphones.
The source also said the tablet is internally being referred to as โMarxโ, but we can safely say that wonโt be the marketing name of the device.
Besides that punch-hole in the corner of the display, the tablet also appears to have a dual-lens camera around the back, and is going to come with support for Huawei's very own M-Pen stylus, the report said.
While according to a twitter post by acclaimed leaker Evan Blass on October 31, the device called the MatePad Pro. He also posted a press render of the tablet complete with a keyboard folio and stylus.
