Huawei will launch 5G devices on October 23 in Shenzhen where its headquarters is based, according to one of its official Weibo accounts.
It is widely expected the Huawei will launch the 5G capable Mate X, the companyโs first foldable phone at the event . And till now we have known almost everything about this device.
As cnTechPost reported earlier, theย Huawei Mate X will be available in two variants.
The Kirin 980 version will be available at 9,999 yuan ($1414), while the Kirin 990 5G version will come at 13,999 yuan ($1979), according to Huawei Central.
If this turns out to be true, the Chinese version of the Huawei Mate X will be much cheaper than the European version.
At the deviceโs original launch event, Huawei announced the phone will cost 2,299 euros ($2565) in Europe but also said Chinaโs price wonโt be higher than that in Europe.
In the meantime, a speed test by a Huawei executive shows the download speed of the 5G device can go up to 745 Mbps in Wuzhen, where the World Internet Conference is being held.
The Mate X sports a foldable OLED display that measures 8-inches while unfolded and during the fold, the display parts 6.6 inches for the front side, 6.38 inches for the backside.
The device will come in two different SoCโs, the first batch will be equipped with Kirin 980 + Balong 5000 and the second batch will be powered by Kirin 990 (5G).
There is a 4500mAh battery supporting 55W super-fast charge. This allows the phone to charge 85% in 30 minutes. At last, this phone supports 5G.
