OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro launched in China, starting at $420-CnTechPost

After being released in the global market, the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro smartphones have finally come to China.

At a launch eventย held Tuesday in Beijing, OnePlus rolled out the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro which both come with attractive 90Hz displays and are equipped with topnotch specs.

Specifications

Both phones are powered by the Snapdragon 855+ chipset with 2.96GHz octa-core processor. The Android 10-based HydrogenOS are preloaded on the Chinese edition of the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro phones.

On the outside, the OnePlus 7T has a flat 6.55-inch display with waterdrop notch. The Fluid AMOLED display supports full HD+ resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio.

The OnePlus 7T Pro features a 6.67-inch Fluid AMOLED curved display with notch-less design. It supports quad HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

Both phones offer smoother viewing experience as they support 90Hz refresh rate. The displays are both equipped with in-display fingerprint scanner.

OnePlus confirmed that โ€œPeace Eliteโ€, โ€œAce Warriorโ€, โ€œFort Frontlineโ€, โ€œQQ Speedingโ€, โ€œCrossing the FireWireโ€, โ€œQuantum Special Attackโ€, โ€œNew Swordsmanโ€ and seven other games come with support for 90Hz refresh rate display.

The front and rear sides of the OnePlus 7T are protected by Gorilla Glass panels. The OnePlus 7T Pro has Gorilla Glass 6 protecting the screen and Gorilla Glass 5 on the rear.

The rear side of the OnePlus 7T features a round-shaped camera area that includes a Sony IMX586 48-megapixel primary lens, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens. The front notch has a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.

The rear side of the OnePlus 7T Pro has a vertical triple camera system that features a main 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens and a 16-megapixel ultrawide sensor. It comes with a pop-up selfie snapper of 16-megapixel.

The OnePlus 7T has a 3,800mAh battery that is equipped with 30W Warp Charge 30T fast charging technology. The OnePlus 7T Pro is packed with a 4,085mAh battery that carries support for 30W Warp Charge rapid charging technology.

No 5G

Both phones were 4G LTE only, with no sign of a 5G follow-up to the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G that the company released earlier this year.

It was an odd omission, especially since OnePlus was so eager to release a 5G device so early in the technologyโ€™s lifecycle, The Verge noted.

Speaking to reporters at the OnePlus 7T Proโ€™s announcement event in London last week, Lau suggested that the company simply hasnโ€™t seen enough of an opportunity to launch a second 5G device.

โ€œItโ€™s not related to a Pro series or T-series or another device that certainly must have 5G,โ€ the CEO said. โ€œItโ€™s more looking at what are the circumstances and whatโ€™s a suitable opportunity to build a 5G device.โ€
