The largest cybersecurity transparency center of Chinese technology giant Huawei was officially opened on June 10 in the southern Chinese city of Dongguan, according to information published on Huawei's official website.
The center relies on the governance and technical strength of the Huawei headquarters to provide three functions: "demonstration and experience", "communication and innovation" and "security verification services" to various stakeholders.
The center is open to global stakeholders such as customers and third-party testing organizations, Huawei said.
Huawei calls on all parties to actively collaborate in the areas of governance structure, standards and technology, verification and other professional areas in order to enhance trust and confidence in cybersecurity among government regulators and even society as a whole, and to seek solutions for development and security in the digital era, said Hu Houkun, Huawei's rotating chairman.
Previously, Huawei had established six cybersecurity transparency centers in Europe, the Middle East and North America, and the Dongguan Cybersecurity Transparency Center is also the seventh such facility.
In addition, Huawei also released the white paper "Huawei Product Security Baseline", which for the first time published the baseline framework for product security requirements and management practices to the industry.
