Honor completes integration after spinning off from Huawei

Tom Kang Apr 1, 2021 18:20 GMT+8

Chinese smartphone maker Honor CEO George Zhao said on March 31 that the company has completed its integration after its separation from Huawei.

Zhao set out goals in five directions: product, design, software, scenario, and strategy.

Honor Magic series and Honor numerical series will serve as Honor's flagship and high-end products respectively, Zhao said.

Honor flagships will not only surpass the hardware design and experience of Huawei's Mate and P series, but will also have the iconic appearance, advanced imaging capabilities, and algorithms, communication capabilities, system design capabilities, and stringent manufacturing processes, and quality assurance.

Honor insists on the underlying OS and human factors design to create the first performance, longevity, fluency, and security through SoC.

The company will create the best connectivity and applications for "1+8" devices, using AI to achieve an integrated experience for cell phones, tablets, laptops, smart screens, wearable and audio devices.

Zhao said Honor will focus on phones, tablets, laptops, smart screens, wearables, and audio until it becomes No. 1.

Since becoming independent from Huawei last November, Honor has released only two versions of the Honor V40.

Honor said to be working on several products based on Qualcomm chips
