Chinese audio platform LIZHI (NASDAQ: LIZI) announced on Wednesday that it has entered into an in-car audio partnership with Enovate Motors, a new energy company, to connect its in-car audio products to Enovate's in-car system.
Enovate is a high-end mobility technology company that integrates R&D, production, sales, and service of new energy vehicles, and is committed to being the explorer and leader of green and intelligent mobility.
LIZHI's in-car audio system will be used in Enovate's second model, the Enovate ME5, which is a smart A+ SUV with the same family design language as the Enovate ME7.
The vehicle is available in both pure electric and extended range versions and is scheduled to be launched this year.
"Leveraging the technology advantages of both LIZHI and Enovate, we believe that this cooperation will improve mobility experiences for users," said Jinnan (Marco) Lai, founder, and CEO of LIZHI, in a statement sent to CnTechPost.
"Through this cooperation, our vertical podcast platform LIZHI Podcast (LIZHI BOKE in Chinese) will be integrated into ENOVATE's vehicle system as an in-car audio product to provide premium podcast listening experiences to users," he stated.
With the continuous development of the new energy vehicle industry and connected vehicles, podcasts are gradually becoming one of the most suitable forms of media for in-car entertainment, and the in-car scenario may become an important use scenario for podcasts.
LIZHI hopes to further strengthen the cooperation in the direction of in-car audio and reach a wider user base with high-quality podcast content and AI-enabled content recommendation and distribution engine.
This is the latest move in LIZHI's cooperation with new energy vehicle companies.
In December, LIZHI announced that XPeng Motors introduced its audio products in the latter's in-vehicle systems.
The collaboration aims to accentuate the complementary strengths of both parties and strives for a win-win situation, LIZI said in a statement, which led to a 100% jump in its share price.
