Dali Education, the education brand of ByteDance, announced on February 26 that it will hire 10,000 people over the next four months.
The hiring includes a variety of positions including teaching, R&D, and operations, and is the second major social hiring for ByteDance's education business since March of last year.
This recruitment covers several products under Dali Education, including Qingbei, GuaGuaLong, OpenLanguage, etc. The job areas cover several Chinese cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.
Dali Education currently has over 10,000 employees. After this round of hiring, Dali Education will have more than 20,000 employees.
ByteDance launched its education brand Dali Education in October last year, with Chen Lin, formerly head of education business, as CEO of Dali Education.
ByteDance founder and chief executive Zhang Yiming said: "We started to develop interests in the education industry very early on. The brand independence of Dali Education is just the beginning of a long journey."
Chen said last July that the education business won't look to become profitable for three years.
