Huawei shipped as many as 125 million units in China in 2020, taking first place with a 38.3% share, according to IDC.
China's overall smartphone market shipments in 2020 were about 326 million units, down 11.2% year-on-year.
From second to fourth places are Vivo, OPPO, and Xiaomi, with annual shipments of 57.5 million units, 56.7 million units, and 39 million units respectively, with growth rates of 13.5%, 9.8%, and 2.5% decline.
Only the fifth place, Apple, grew year-on-year, with an increase of 10.1%.
Huawei shipped 21.7 million units in the fourth quarter, down 34.5% year-on-year, though it still remains No. 1 in the market.
Apple, OPPO, Vivo, and Xiaomi saw shipments growth in the fourth quarter, including a 48% year-on-year increase for Xiaomi and 34.7% for Apple.
