ARM China has joined the Software Green Alliance and will work closely with its members on standards building, ecosystem collaboration, the alliance said in a recent statement.
This will extend the reach of ARM China and other members in key areas such as 64-bit Android software ecosystem migration, security, image processing, and open solution capabilities, the statement said.
These focus areas are also part of Total Compute, Arm's transformative strategy for designing computing solutions, which provides a system-level approach to SoC solutions.
With the advent of the fifth wave of the computing revolution and the evolution of the software industry's ubiquitous endpoint, the addition of ARM China is an important milestone for the Software Green Alliance to synergize hardware and software to create a professional, authoritative, and trusted ubiquitous endpoint services platform, the statement said.
ARM China is the only authorized operating platform for Arm's IP business in China and provides integrated circuit intellectual property (IP) licensing and services to partners in China.
ARM China has more than 200 licensees and has shipped more than 19 billion units to date to customers in China based on Arm's processor technology.
