The devices with Kirin 9000 chipset will be the first batch to be compatible with HarmonyOS and those with Kirin 990 5G chip will be the second batch, according to a famous Weibo digital blogger.
Some devices with Kirin 990 4G chipset, devices with Kirin 985 chip, and some with Kirin 820 chip will be the third batch to be adapted to HarmonyOS, according to Weibo blogger @勇气数码君.
He also said that some devices with Kirin 820 chipset, Kirin 980 devices, and some devices with 990 4G chipset are the fourth batch. Devices with Kirin 810 chipsets and some with Kirin 710 chipsets are the last batch.
The HarmonyOS 2.0 system was unveiled at Huawei's 2020 developer conference on September 10.
According to Huawei's plan, a beta version of HarmonyOS 2.0 for mobile phones will be released in December 2020, and next year Huawei smartphones will be fully upgraded to support HarmonyOS 2.0.
