Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi's founder Lei Jun held the company's 10th anniversary speech today and also unveiled a 55-inch TV with a transparent OLED screen that boasts a 120Hz refresh rate.
It's the world's first mass-producible transparent TV, and is part of Xiaomi's Master series released in July this year, priced at 49,999 yuan ($7205).
It's just 5.7 mm thick and has screen support for 1.07 billion primary color screens, DCI-P393% wide color gamut, and MEMC motion compensation.
It also supports 1 ms clockwise response to gaming-grade display standards.
It has a built-in MTK 9650 chip with quad-core A73 processor architecture and a Mali-G52 graphics processor.
It has a combination of 3 GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
It started to take pre-order from 9:30 pm on Tuesday and will be available from August 16 at 10:00 am.
