Xiaomi has once again raised the retail price of the Redmi Note 8 in India for the sixth time this year.
Last time, the retail price of the Redmi Note 8 in India was increased by Rs. 500 ($7), taking it to Rs. 12,499.
Now, the price of the device has been increased by Rs 500 again, which brings the price of the device to Rs 12,999 ($186). This makes the price of the device 30 percent higher than the Rs 9,999 price it cost at launch.
Amazon India is currently selling the device for Rs 12,799, but that seems to be after a discount of Rs 200. The price of the device on the Croma platform would be Rs 12,999.
Some have complained about this price hike strategy by Xiaomi, where they give a very attractive price when they launch a new phone, but then keep raising the price of the phone after that.
