Nubia's upcoming Red Devil 5S phone will use silver as a heat dissipation material for the first time, and the recent sharp rise in the price of gold and silver has resulted in the phone facing higher costs.
Silver is one of the metals with the best thermal conductivity, but the downside is its high price.
In the past week in particular, the price of silver has continued to rise dramatically, rising above $23 per ounce at one point. Since the end of March, silver prices have doubled.
In addition to using silver, the Red Devil 5S gaming phone comes with LPDDR5 RAM + UFS 3.1 flash memory as standard across the board.
It will come with Nubia's newly developed and patented Magic Write, a fast read/write optimization technology, for longer lasting performance.
The Red Devil 5S gaming phone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865+ flagship platform.
The Snapdragon 865+ pushes the phone's SoC to 3.1GHz.The Snapdragon 865+ offers a 10 percent performance boost over the regular Snapdragon 865 thanks to a higher 3.1GHz clock speed. Graphics rendering performance is also improved by 10 percent.
The Red Devil 5S will be launched on July 28.
