Starbucks recently launched its WeChat mini-program, which means that users can enjoy the membership rights and take-out features of the Starbucks APP in WeChat.

With the launch of mini-program on WeChat, users all over the country can enter mini-program by sweeping the mini-program code or searching "Starbucks" on WeChat, and register by calling their mobile phone number with one click.

At all Starbucks stores in China, you can identify your membership by presenting the StarHub membership code registered on mini-program and click the WeChat payment button to make a quick payment.

Also, the mini-program home page offers a take-away ordering service.

In 2019, the size of the economy around WeChat QR codes reached 8.58 trillion yuan, or about 9 percent of China's GDP (99.0865 trillion yuan), according to a report earlier this month by Tencent WeChat and the China ICT Institute.

The report shows that WeChat created 29.63 million jobs in 2019, of which 26.01 million were directly created, up 16% year-on-year and 22% year-on-year since 2014. WeChat indirectly created 3.62 million jobs.
