On April 27, Chinese home appliance giant Skyworth held an online product launch event, in addition to releasing new TVs, in order to make it easier for the elderly and other groups to use TVs, the company released a special tablet to replace the TV remote control.
An example was cited at the beginning of the event: an 80-year-old elderly user reflected that he did not know how to scan the QR code to get the TV instructions, and the executives were told to have the network staff print out all the instructions and deliver them to the user.
In fact, the inconvenience of TV remote control is not only a difficulty faced by the elderly and people who do not know how to use a computer or a mobile phone, even young people who can play with the operation of the TV need to constantly navigate with the arrow keys in the cumbersome menu.
The TV voice assistant, which was on fire last year, has also made progress but has always been an auxiliary function. As for the mobile phone drop screen, it is a waste of resources for users who have purchased a video site TV membership, not to mention that the difference in protocols between the user's phone, tablet, and TV also makes the drop screen sometimes not so smooth.

The "Swaiot CONNECTOR Variable Contact" is a magnetically-absorbent smart contact for the Swaiot PANEL to identify appliances without a screen, providing a higher accuracy rate than technologies such as RFID.
The contact identifies devices such as pedometers, oil hoods, and other adaptive devices, allowing the tablet to react to the scene, such as recommending music that aids movement, recommending appropriate recipes, etc.
Skyworth open-sources its own TV's proprietary projection protocol, UPP (Universal Projection Protocol), and invites other terminal vendors to adopt it. vivo's flagship model, the NEX3, can project the phone's screen to the TV by touching a preset NFC sticker, and the phone can run other tasks or screens simultaneously while projecting the screen.
TV viewers who do not know how to use the screen, just stick the sticker on the place where they can reach, such as the coffee table, when it is time to touch, lowering the threshold for the use of the screen function.
It has been one year since the release of Swaiot ECO, which connects more than 20 million devices and covers more than 60 device categories. Through "Cloud to Cloud", led by the Home Appliance Industry Association, Skyworth's newly released devices can be mutually recognized with smart home appliance protocols from brands such as Jingdong and Huawei.
At the launch, Skyworth announced that it will provide partners and developers with one-stop service in five areas: users, channels, development, supply chain, and capital, investing $1.5 billion to build the eco.
In addition to covering more than 50 million TV users with "Kukai" system, providing software development and application distribution support, the support program also includes various display, backlight module, AIoT communication module, intelligent voice module, AIoT main control chip and other supply chain resources to help partners to quickly design solutions. Partners' smart hardware products have the opportunity to leverage Skyworth's existing 40,000+ offline locations for sales.
The new G71 series of TVs released this spring highlights an updated AI module, introducing a lift-up AI camera that tracks the user's position in front of the screen when needed to enable video calls while the user stays in the center of the screen.
The video conferencing feature, which has become popular due to the epidemic, can also appear more natural on a TV than a small screen, and the expanded "Skyworth Conference" feature can support up to 100 multi-party video calls.
Skyworth also plans to add remote assistance features to the TV, as well as a surveillance camera that acts as a surveillance camera when on standby, with an emphasis on camera authorization control and privacy protection capabilities.
The Skyworth G71 series is priced at 4,999 yuan for 55 inches and 6,999 yuan for 65 inches.
