On March 12, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei's Consumer Business said on Weibo that the self-developed Kirin A1 chip has been used in many wearable products.
Yu said:
The categories of our wearable products are also becoming more and more abundant. FreeBuds 3 has created a semi-open active noise cancelling TWS headset category. The sports health functions of smart watches and bracelets and their long battery life are also constantly upgraded.
At present, Huawei's self-developed Kirin A1 chip has been used in many wearable products. In terms of service ecology, our sports health app has exceeded 100 million registered users worldwide.
Our investment in wearable products has been increasing in recent years, because wearable products are an essential part of Huawei's full-scenario smart living strategy
Huawei Kirin A1 is the world's first Bluetooth 5.1 and BLE 5.1 dual-certified wireless chip, which was first released at IFA 2019.
Compared to the Apple H1, its performance is improved by about 30%, and power consumption is reduced by 50%.
The size of the Kirin A1 chip is very small, only (4.3mm x 4.4mm), which can be implanted in wearable devices.
