China Unicom and Guoxin Micro launched 5G super SIM card products in Guangzhou on December 23, with a storage capacity up to 64 GB. Today, Guoxin Micro updated the list of supported phones, adding Huawei Mate 8/9/10 and P9/10 series.
In addition, Xiaomi, OPPO, Lenovo and other mobile phones have also increased the supported models.
It is worth noting that most of the supported phones are discontinued old or low-end phones, because the new models no longer support MicroSD cards, and it is not conducive to the sale of high-profile models.
There are three types of operations common in mobile phones in the current market, namely "dual nano card slot", "dual nano + memory card slot" and "single nano + nano/storage composite card slot". The 5G super SIM card can be adapted to "single nano + nano/storage composite card slot".
Therefore, 5G super SIM cards currently support limited terminals, and some flagships with dual nano card slots do not support them for the time being.
The Super SIM card has a high-speed interface and adds SIM contacts to the memory card form. It is a new type of SIM card that supports both communication functions and large-capacity storage functions.
